Secretly Canadian Records Welcomes Their First Comedian, Tig Notaro

Sub Pop Records has been fitfully releasing comedy albums for the past decade (David Cross’ Shut Up, You Fucking Baby and It’s Not Funny, Patton Oswalt’s Werewolves and Lollipops, Flight of the Conchords’ I Told You I Was Freaky), so why not Secretly Canadian? Well, hypothetical inquisitor with odd and specific questions, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. On August 2nd, Secretly Canadian will release their first comedy album, Tig Notaro’s Good One.

Notaro may be familiar to some of you for her stand-up, which has been featured on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, and The Benson Interruption. Others may remember her from The Sarah Silverman Show, on which she played “Officer Tig,” Silverman’s lesbian love interest for one memorable episode. Notaro recently started her own weekly podcast called Professor Blastoff. Check out a sample of Good One at Notaro’s website for the price of your e-mail address. Tour dates are below.
